Ryu Takami is a Japanese dragon artist who creates each dragon entirely by hand, one brushstroke at a time. Honoring the dragon's strength, gentleness, and protective energy, he creates one-of-a-kind works that accompany the wishes and important turning points of those who encounter them.
一本の線から生まれる、世界に一体だけの龍
同じ表情、同じ流れの龍は二度と生まれません。筆の勢い、墨や絵具のにじみ、その日の感覚を重ねながら描くため、すべての作品が一点ものです。龍の色、顔の向き、身体の流れには、それぞれの願いに合わせた意味を込めています。

BORN FROM A SINGLE LINE - A DRAGON THAT EXISTS NOWHERE ELSE
No two dragons are ever born with the same expression or movement. Each work is one of a kind, created through the momentum of the brush, the natural flow of ink and paint, and Ryu's sensibility in that moment. The dragon's color, the direction of its face, and the flow of its body are each given symbolic meaning according to the wish placed within the work.
作品に込めていること
私が龍の絵に込めているのは、
「なんでも可能である」という想いです。
龍とは、気の流れ。
そして人は、自分の内なる龍を解放したとき、本来の輝きを放ち始めるのだと思います。
内なる龍とは、自分の中にある無限の可能性に気づき、
「なんだってできる」と心から思えたときに湧き上がる力。
理屈ではなく、魂の奥から「やりたい」「進みたい」と突き動かされるような衝動です。
私が龍を描く大きな理由の一つに、
子どもたちに、自分の背中を通して伝えたい想いがあります。
「人は、なんでもできるんだ」
「こんなふうに、自分の道を生きていいんだ」
「願いを持ち、挑戦し、世界へ出ていくことはできるんだ」
そんなメッセージを、私自身の生き方と作品を通して感じてほしいのです。
龍は、闇を切り裂き、願いを叶え、穏やかさをもたらすエネルギーを持っています。
あなたの中にも、龍がいる。
あなたも、なんでも可能。
そのことを思い出すきっかけになるように、
一体一体の龍に祈りを込めて描いています。

WHAT I PUT INTO MY ART
What I place into every dragon painting is the belief that anything is possible.
A dragon is the flow of energy. I believe that when people release the dragon within, they begin to reveal their true brilliance. The inner dragon is the power that rises when we recognize our limitless potential and genuinely believe, “I can do anything.” It is not logic, but the impulse that moves us from the depths of the soul: “I want to do this. I want to move forward.”
One of the main reasons I paint dragons is to show my children, through the way I live, that people can do anything, that they may follow their own path, and that they can dream, take on challenges, and step out into the world.
Dragons carry the energy to cut through darkness, support wishes, and bring tranquility. There is a dragon within you, too. You, too, are capable of anything. I paint each dragon with a prayer that it will help you remember this.

Ryuは、龍の絵を通じて、日本の美意識、祈り、精神性を世界へ届けることを目指しています。
作品制作のほか、神社仏閣への参拝、奉納作品の制作、ライブペイント、海外での日本文化パフォーマンスにも挑戦しています。
筆から龍が現れる瞬間には、言葉を超えた力があります。

ACTIVITIES
Through dragon art, Ryu aims to share Japanese aesthetics, prayer, and spirituality with the world.
In addition to creating original works, he visits shrines and temples, creates works for dedication, performs live painting, and takes on Japanese cultural performances overseas.
There is a power beyond words in the moment a dragon emerges from the brush. Through his paintings, Ryu hopes that the viewer's wishes will begin to move forward and that the beauty of Japanese dragons will spread throughout the world.
